HOST LFST RB3000: the world is somehow a systematic construct devised
HOST LFST RB3000: by some kind of Master Intelligence, rather than an
HOST LFST RB3000: "agglomerate of bumps" as our current priests of
HOST LFST RB3000: science would have us believe.

HOST LFST RB3000: Have you heard the expression, "the world IS whatever
HOST LFST RB3000: you think it is"?
That really is not referring to the
HOST LFST RB3000: "thinking" that goes on in our heads all day,
which even
HOST LFST RB3000: charitably is rumination, at best. Unfortunately, most
HOST LFST RB3000: of our "thinking" is repetitious chatter about
how unfair
HOST LFST RB3000: everything is, and about what "I need, I want."

HOST LFST RB3000: But for a warrior, a sorcerer, a shaman, a man-of-
HOST LFST RB3000: knowledge or a seer, the world-flux starts conforming
HOST LFST RB3000: to one's proper intent, which involves an unbending
HOST LFST RB3000: focus of attention. The remaining fragments of ancient
HOST LFST RB3000: teachings indicate that it is possible not only to witness
HOST LFST RB3000: the nature of the flux of which everything is made, but
HOST LFST RB3000: to "manipulate" it-- in quotes because it is not
done
HOST LFST RB3000: with any hands, but with the attention itself.

HOST LFST RB3000: need clues, maps, keys, instruments, tools, magnifiers,
HOST LFST RB3000: allies and communication with anyone who may have

I should explain here why the
HOST LFST RB3000: procedure of honing the attention to operate the flux of
HOST LFST RB3000: space-time is described as a journey or a treasure
HOST LFST RB3000: hunt.

HOST LFST RB3000: The search I am describing is the quest for the holy
HOST LFST RB3000: grail, el Dourado, the gold at the end of the rainbow,
HOST LFST RB3000: but these are all just metaphors for the search for the
HOST LFST RB3000: Self, that which we once had, but which, in many
HOST LFST RB3000: cases, is not totally lost. How could we have lost
HOST LFST RB3000: ourself? I am me,
aren't I? Can't I just look into the
HOST LFST RB3000: mirror and know who I am?

HOST LFST RB3000: My answer is, as you might expect, "yes and
no." Yes,
HOST LFST RB3000: because, at least for someone who is seeking, the
HOST LFST RB3000: doorway is still there, but it is rusted shut, it is
locked,
HOST LFST RB3000: it is hidden among a thousand other doorways, and the
HOST LFST RB3000: map to it has been misplaced. Furthermore, the
HOST LFST RB3000: language of the map has been forgotten, and all
HOST LFST RB3000: information relating to it has been misconstrued and

"explain"
HOST LFST RB3000: metaphors, but I want to give you a sense of what we
HOST LFST RB3000: are up against. But apparently (for those who need to
HOST LFST RB3000: see it) there is help.
Messages have been left for us,
HOST LFST RB3000: but they are never in plaintext. I used to wonder why
HOST LFST RB3000: they couldn't be plain information, and I came across
HOST LFST RB3000: several levels of answers to that.

HOST LFST RB3000: The first level is that the information is not for the
HOST LFST RB3000: "intellect", or what has become of our
intellect. You
HOST LFST RB3000: can say, as don Juan does, that the information we
HOST LFST RB3000: need is a transaction between the "position of reason
HOST LFST RB3000: and the position of silent knowledge."
HOST LFST RB3000: He is referring here to configurations of our
attention.
HOST LFST RB3000: He says that, at one time, the position of silent
HOST LFST RB3000: knowledge was dominant for mankind, even though
HOST LFST RB3000: most people were never precisely on that position.
HOST LFST RB3000: Usually a priest or medicine person would hold that
HOST LFST RB3000: position for the whole tribe.

HOST LFST RB3000: We passed through the period when the dominant
HOST LFST RB3000: position was "reason" and, here again, most
people
HOST LFST RB3000: sort of orbitted about this position. In this case, the
HOST LFST RB3000: priests have been scientists or, more properly, the
HOST LFST RB3000: conservators of the scientific establishment. But now
HOST LFST RB3000: these new priests are falling off the edge of reason: the
HOST LFST RB3000: abyss of the Unknown gapes before them.

HOST LFST RB3000: I should point out that there is a descriptor for those
HOST LFST RB3000: orbiting the position of reason, and that is that they
HOST LFST RB3000: (we) are run neither by reason nor by silent

HOST LFST RB3000: and world leaders are enslaved to the "position"
of the
HOST LFST RB3000: chatter of self-pity or, as Gurdjieff puts it,
"internal

HOST LFST RB3000: gone before us have entered a differently phased
HOST LFST RB3000: dimensionality.

HOST LFST RB3000: another good example would be that current
HOST LFST RB3000: knowledge that someone travelling at a significant
HOST LFST RB3000: fraction of the speed of light will have trouble staying
in
HOST LFST RB3000: communication with someone still on earth, because of
HOST LFST RB3000: relativity-- time slows down, approaching zero as the
HOST LFST RB3000: person's velocity approaches the speed of light. A few
HOST LFST RB3000: minutes aboard ship is a lifetime on earth.

HOST LFST RB3000: abstract symbols of higher dimensionalities "stand
out

HOST LFST RB3000: some tribesperson who has never seen either a book or
HOST LFST RB3000: a machine. You
will shout at them, "but can't you see

And all they will see is lines and
