(português em baixa) The 'Sequential' Books of the Hinário The reason I had to put 'sequential' into quotation marks is that, after I had been receiving for a while, collecting about 35 hymnstogether, I received the instruction to order them intuitively into a book. At the time, I had no idea of whether I'd be receiving more, so I printed them out and started setting them down in a sort of grid, sensing where they should go if they were being sung in a work. That's why the first two books have two numbers for each hymn — the first given is their order within the book, whereas the second number (in parentheses) is the order in which they were actually received. Later on, although I had decided not to change the numbering of hymns as I received them, I got into a pattern of alternating sets of a few hymns at a time, back and forth among two or three books. This gave me the opportunity to meditate on several different themes during the same time period. Afterwards I returned to the simplicity of staying in one book at a time until it felt complete (averaging about 30 hymns per book). This makes it possible to select two or three of the books for a work of a certain intended character — they fit together in many possible ways. In addition, I have had occasion to select hymns of a particular theme for special works, and those are offered in the Special Collections page. One set of special collections (The Steps of Awakening) came to me while I was visiting Ceu da Mapiá for the December festival of 2000, and I had the opportunity to discuss their significance with Padrinho Alfredo before I left. The seven groups (at that time) were given as a focused way of attaining enlightenment. At this time of first posting, I should note that I began scoring the musical notations and creating MIDI files only beginning with Book 20 (when I acquired music-writing software), and then started working backwards. This is why you will find relatively few MIDIs available in the earlier books (mostly distributed among the four special collections I've completed so far) as I gradually fill them in. I'll need help developing chords and arrangements, and I expect this work to take me at least until the end of my physical life on earth. I suppose it's something like a Tibetan sand painting for me: meticulous work for a long time, without promise of reward, knowing it will be erased. Os Livros 'Sequencial' do Hinário A razão eu tive que pôr 'sequencial' na citação as marcas são que, depois que eu tenho recebido por um quando, coletando aproximadamente 35 hinos, eu recebi a instrução para os requisitar intuitivo em um livro.
